“Bryan Ferry, the lead singer of the seminal art-pop group Roxy Music, may be the consummate ladies’ man, but he is also the embodiment of gentlemanly restraint. ‘‘As much as I would like to be Jimi Hendrix,’’ he says, ‘‘I keep my flamboyance to my buttons or a cuff.’’ A chart-topping solo artist and sometime model (he appeared in a 2006 men’s-wear campaign for Marks & Spencer), Ferry credits the English tailor Richard Anderson and the Italian clothier Rubinacci with helping him maintain his Cary Grant-meets-David Bowie look. So after four decades of life on the road, what’s the secret to worry-free traveling? ‘‘Consistency is key,’’ he says. ‘‘I can go for years wearing the same thing.’’ Ferry’s current project is a different sort of return to form: he and Brian Eno have been back in the studio working on the long-awaited new Roxy Music album.”
