Yesterday’s Women of Today in Lanvin, via Fabulon
The Fabulonians show three sets of looks from the late 60s: Lanvin, YSL and Pierre Cardin. I love the Lanvin and Cardin equally; the YSL not so much. No one could do high formal businesswear like Yves Saint Laurent, and as beautiful as it is in almost every iteration and decade, it still doesn’t call to me. As I said to someone a few days ago: in a suit I either look like a chubby bank teller or someone who spanks people for money. So I just avoid them. Dumb dresses with black tights? Sign me up.
