You need a summer jam, right? I so have one for you. So, we can only listen to Green Day and Ida Maria and 3Oh3 much (yeah, yeah — apparently I’m a pariah for thinking 3Oh3 is freakin’ hilarous); there comes a time as we start sliding into June when you’re sitting on the stoop and the cars glide by and you totally need a song like this one. A killer kiss off underscored by one of the most unexpectedly lovely samples to crop up in R’n’B lately (that’s The Zombies’ “Time of the Season,” of course — one of the most deceptively innocent and totally dirty songs of all time). Anything to get away from FloRida’s “Sugar,” and its hideous Eiffel 65 sample, right? Right.
