Look, we’ve been to see the new Star Trek flick three times. It’s not campy, but it is pretty queer, even with barely-a-plot point love story. I mean look at them (that’s Chris Pine and Zach Quinto, above) — G-A-Y. Which is how it should be with Kirk and Spock. No wonder we thought they were cute.
xoxo c. hotpoint, specializing in crushing on queers since … forever. (But not Brent Spiner. Ew!)
ETA:  Best part of last night’s viewing in Chelsea:  sitting next to a 50-something black woman who muttered “Do it.  Shut up and do it!” every time Kirk and Spock were on the screen together.  Also, she stayed for the next screening.  And smuggled her own food in.  She gets my vote for Totally Awesome.  For real.
ALSO:  Partial retraction.  One of these things is not like the other.  Even though collectively, it’s still a hot trekkie mess.
