Dear Internet,
Just a rhetorical question, but please explain to me why one body modification (collagen lip injections) is worse than another (tattooing, piercings, dying yr hair)?

The former seems more like self-mutilation born of self-loathing, whereas the latter seems a little more like decoration, I guess. Plus the former actually modifies your body, as opposed to simply adorning it, which seems different too.
